For example if there is a low water table, that is pushing the water below the ground, then the water will get accumulated in the pit of the sump. After which it will be pumped away from the foundation by underground pipes.
- Dry Well – Dry wells are popular landscape drainage solutions in areas where there is no connection to a storm drainage system. These are filled with gravel and then surrounded by filter fabric. The water flows into the wells and infiltrates the ground through the gravel.
- Gutters – Effective in areas where rainwater gets accumulated around the house. Gutters collect the run off from house’s or building’s roof. They can direct water to downspouts through the roof drain. They are also very easy to install. One can also use clean outs as drainage solutions around house. They are designed as easy access points for maintenance of the storm water and are located in a bend where the debris tend to clog the drainage system.
